Collection: Sterling Silver Necklaces & Pendants

A small, deliberate collection of 925 sterling silver pendants and necklaces, set with natural stones — black and red onyx, howlite, smoky and crystal quartz, pyrite. Faceted pendants, coin pendants and briolette necklaces, in plain sterling, black finish and gold-polished treatments. Gram weights stated. ₹1,000 to ₹1,700.

What's in the collection

Pendant-and-chain pieces pair a single stone — onyx, howlite, smoky quartz — with a sterling chain, often with a border of studded zircon. These are the everyday end: one stone, clean setting, nothing competing.

Coin pendants use a flat circular stone cut, which sits close and reads as a modern piece rather than a traditional one.

Briolette necklaces are the most decorative here. A briolette is a stone cut as a faceted teardrop and hung so it swings, which catches light continuously as you move. The red-and-green onyx and crystal-quartz-with-pyrite pieces are the ones to look at.

Choosing between them

For daily wear, a single faceted or coin pendant is the practical choice — it sits flat under clothing, survives being worn constantly, and works with every neckline.

For evening, briolettes earn their place. They are only marginally more expensive but read considerably more special, because the movement does the work.

All of these sit high enough to work with open necklines and low enough not to compete with earrings, which makes them easy to pair with the sterling silver earrings or a set of studs.

Why 925, and why weights are published

These are sterling silver — 92.5% silver — rather than plated base metal, so they can be polished back indefinitely and are safe for sensitive skin. Odara publishes the gram weight on each product page, which tells you how substantial a piece is and lets you compare two designs honestly. It is uncommon in Indian fashion jewellery and worth using when you choose.

Care

Take necklaces off before sleeping — chains kink and stones knock against each other overnight. Store flat in a pouch rather than hanging. A soft silver cloth handles tarnish; avoid liquid dips entirely, since they lift gold polish and can affect porous stones like howlite. Keep away from perfume and chlorine.

Common questions

Is the chain included? Yes, where the product title says "with chain". Pendants sold alone are described as pendants.

Are the stones natural? The onyx, howlite, quartz and pyrite are natural stones, so colour varies piece to piece. Zircon accents are synthetic.

How does this differ from the main neckpiece collection? This is sterling silver with semi-precious stones. Gold-plated Kundan, temple and polki sets are in Neck Pieces.
